Future Value

This program calculates the future value of an amount that is invested at a specified interest rate. For example, if you want the future value of $1 (or $1 million) invested for 50 years at a 10% interest rate, enter 1, 50 and 10 in the three boxes (the answer is $117.39).

By changing your assumed numerical values and clicking the Calculate button, you will see how these changes affect your answer. Unless you are sure of the values, it is usually a good idea to do a sensitivity analysis to see whether your answer is reasonably robust or depends critically on certain key assumptions.
