Executive Bios
Matthew Burrows
Matt is the head of Harkness Consulting's biotechnology consulting practice. An avid economics student, Matt takes pride in vigorously defending the efficient markets hypothesis. He previously interned as an auditor in the then-booming mortgage industry and as a researcher for the Supply Management Institute in Wiesbaden, Germany. He looks forward to joining litigation consulting firm Cornerstone Research, where he worked last summer. Matt enjoys playing basketball and watching international soccer.


Cathryn Camacho
Cathryn has a strong background in economics and finance including industrial organization, accounting, security valuation, and corporate finance. Due to her extensive real-world practice utilizing her own credit card - with Visa she is a Gold Member and recently advanced to Platinum status with American Express - she brings important in-depth knowledge and expertise to Harkness Consulting specializing in the consumer product and retail industries. After her projects are completed with Harkness Consulting, she plans on joining Analysis Group as a litigation consultant analysis in Los Angeles, primarily staring at a computer screen.


Jason Cincotta
Jason brings a background in finance and economics to Harkness Consulting. Mr. Cincotta has work experience in public relations, film production, and real estate. He leads the consumer products group for Harkness and also works with financial and biotech companies. In his free time, Mr. Cincotta enjoys playing squash, chess, and watching Boston sports teams dominate inferior competition.


Sayre Craig
Sayre heads up the M&A group at Harkness. He has previous experience at JPMorgan's investment bank, CPMG, a Dallas-based hedge fund, and First Data - North Asia. He will be moving to New York to work for JPMorgan's investment bank after graduating.



Scott Damassa
Scott is the lead consultant in leisure studies at Harkness Consulting. He has experience in landscaping with a focus in lawn care maintenance, as well as finance. By combining these two pursuits, he has become a leader in the relatively new field of fusing fields and finance.He is a Pomona College near-graduate and has worked with Citi as well as started his own landscaping business. He will be working for Citi next year in New York City.


Zeeshan Hyder
Zeeshan brings his knowledge of corporate finance and extensive coursework in accounting to Harkness Consulting. During a summer stint at Deutsche Bank he honed his skills in analyzing financial statements and assessing company risk. He will utilize his economics and finance coursework at Pomona College as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in Los Angeles. Currently, Zeeshan is the Head of Technology/Mobile Devices division of Harkness Consulting, and also has expertise in fine jewelry and media. 


Harry Leshner
Harry, a founding partner at Harkness Consulting, specializes in retail and services. He currently leads an engagement with Starbucks Corporation, and advises for Circuit City and Research in Motion Limited. He has also served on the Board of Directors at the Claremont Consulting Group since 2005. While attending his alma mater, Pomona College, he competed on the Football and Track and Field Teams. Harry plans to begin limiting  his time at Harkness beginning in the summer of 2008 to pursue projects with Accenture.


Amy MacKinnon
Amy brings to the table at Harkness Consulting background in economic theory, industrial organization, and corporate finance. She has had a diverse range of work experience outside of economic consulting, including employment at an investment management firm, the Pomona College Admissions Office, and at a commercial art gallery. Amy is leading the consulting team for Research in Motion, and is also contributing to analytic work for Motorola and Callaway Golf. This May, Amy will be leaving our team at Harkness to continue her education at the Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. Amy would like to apply her experience in economics and the arts to a new career in contemporary art consulting for a commercial gallery.


Drew Olian
Majoring in Mathematical Economics and International Relations, Drew brings to Harkness Consulting a blend of experience in corporate finance, security valuation, and international affairs. Drew has extensive work experience in international finance and financial management. Within the firm, he currently heads the media and entertainment group, but also works with clients in the technology and consumer products sectors. After graduating from Pomona in May 2008, Drew will be joining Goldman Sachs as an analyst in Los Angeles.


Alisher Saydalikhodjayev
As a teenager in Ubeckistan, Alisher was convinced that he wanted to be an engineer, so he arrived at Pomona College hoping to major in physics. Since then, he has not taken a single physics class, and yet has developed competency in the areas of economics, mathematics, and finance. During the next few years Alisher is planning to spend some time in the emerging market of the United Arab Emirates, shaping businesses in the region through consulting projects. Alisher enjoys active lifestyle and takes every opportunity to play sports, go hiking, etc. Currently, Alisher is leading a team that provides strategic advice to a company in the semiconductor industry.


Rosanna Smart
Rosanna contributes her economic expertise and personal experience with airline dissatisfaction to head up the transportation services group at Harkness Consulting. She has previously interned at National Economic Research Associates in New York, worked at a legal firm in Claremont, and helped publish economic research on charitable giving. Next year she plans to take time off from work with Harkness Consulting to research labor market policy at Brookings Institution in Washington DC.


Jennifer Wilcox
Jenn brings her background in economics, finance, and personal devotion to pretty things to head up the fashion division at Harkness Consulting. In summer 2007, Jenn interned for a women's economic empowerment NGO in Mumbai, India where she became addicted to chai and Indian food. In July 2008, Jenn will be moving to New York City to join Goldman Sachs as an analyst. Jenn enjoys gourmet cheese, playing tennis, and downhill skiing.


James D. Likens
Likens is the Morris B. and Gladys S. Pendleton Professor of Economics at Pomona College. He teaches courses in microeconomic theory, industrial organization and labor economics. He holds a B.A. in economics and an MBA in management from the University of California at Berkeley and took his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. He has extensive experience working for a number of major corporations and as a business consultant.
