Levon Balayan

Levon, a founding partner at Oasis Consulting, heads the health care consulting practice. He has an extensive international experience working at the leading investment banking firms, both in the United States and Russia. In July 2009, Levon will be joining Citi in their investment banking practice in London. He is passionate about international travel and enjoys playing soccer and volleyball.

Hillary Carroll

A founding partner at Oasis Consulting, Hillary currently serves as the lead consultant for Oasis's entertainment division. Prior to joining Oasis, Hillary worked as a marketing intern at Sony Pictures and uses her first hand experience in the entertainment industry to effectively advise her clients. Hillary will graduate from Pomona College in May 2009 with a major in Economics and minors in both Studio Art and Asian Studies. Following graduation, Hillary plans on pursuing a career in Creative Advertising at a studio in Los Angeles. When not pouring through 10-Ks, Hillary enjoys playing basketball and running with her obese Yellow Lab.

Tom Church

Tom heads the financial institutions group at Oasis Consulting, leveraging his experience in both commercial and investment banking. After graduating from Pomona College in May 2009 with a major in Mathematical Economics and a minor in Mathematics, Tom will be joining J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking Division in New York City. Tom is also a starting pitcher for the #3-ranked Pomona-Pitzer baseball team.

Rhett Dornbach-Bender

Rhett brings to Oasis Consulting a background in economics, politics, and institutional bureaucracy. Within the firm, Rhett heads the automotive division and has also worked on projects with non-profit institutions. After graduating from Pomona College in May, Rhett will be moving to Boston and starting work with New Sector Alliance, a social sector consulting firm.

Casey Hamilton

Possessing a diverse background in investor relations PR, asset management, and insurance, Casey Hamilton joined her classmates in founding Oasis Consulting in fall 2008. As head of the homebuilding division, she currently leads a project for Lennar, as well as providing supporting roles for Brinker and Cerner. After a year of dedicated service to the firm, Casey will be leaving Oasis Consulting to join PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor in the fall of 2009.

Ian Kwok

Ian, a founding partner at Oasis Consulting, manages the Consumer Products and Retail practice. Prior to Oasis Consulting, Ian gained extensive industry experience working for a fund-of-hedge funds and a private equity in Hong Kong. Ian will graduate from Pomona College in May 2009 with a major in Economics and a minor in Computer Science. After graduation, Ian will be joining a premier M&A firm in New York City. Ian is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Meredyth Lacy

Meredyth heads the transportation advisory group at Oasis Consulting and brings a particular expertise in the airline industry. Prior to joining the Oasis team in 2009, she worked in the policy division of EcoSecurities, a carbon trading firm based in the United Kingdom. Meredyth will graduate from Pomona College in May with a degree in Economics and looks forward to joining Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant. Outside the office, Meredyth enjoys travel and deepening her yoga practice.

Rebecca Lange

Becca currently heads the Food & Beverage sector of Oasis Consulting, specializing in caffeinated drinks. Becca will graduate from Pomona College in May 2009 with a major in Economics and minor in Spanish. She will be leaving Oasis Consulting to pursue a career in teaching, joining the 2009 Teach for America corps. In her free time, Becca enjoys outdoors activities such as tennis, hiking, and skiing.

Alex Menenberg

A founding member of Oasis Consulting, Alex currently heads the company's energy division, with a specialization in renewable energy. After graduating from Pomona College with a BA in Economics, he plans to work at Navigant Consulting in Los Angeles. In his free time, Alex enjoys training for triathlons and traveling.

Bill Slade

Bill, the restaurant industry guru for Oasis Consulting, has been a consultant for the firm since January of 2009. His primary tactic for investigating a restaurant operator is the "field visit," in which he experiences the cuisine and atmosphere of the restaurant as an anonymous patron--usually with his Grandpa. In May, Bill will complete his contract with Oasis and graduate from Pomona College with a BA in Economics. This summer, he will move to NYC and begin as an Associate for the National Basketball Association.

Cameron Taylor

Prior to joining Oasis Consulting in 2009, Cameron worked as a part-time analyst for a private investment bank in San Francisco. Within Oasis, he heads the Technology Group, but also works with clients in the financial services and consumer products sectors. Cameron is graduating from Pomona College in May with a major in Mathematical Economics and a minor in Mathematics. During his time at Pomona, Cameron has competed on the Varsity Soccer and Tennis Teams.

Joe Thorpe

Joe is a partner at Oasis Consulting and currently heads the Homeland Security division. In May 2009, Joe will graduate from Pomona College with a major in Economics and a minor in Philosophy. Prior to working at Oasis Consulting, Joe gained extensive experience working on the Equity Research team at Fisher Investments. Following graduation, Joe plans to continue his career in the financial sector. When away from the office, Joe can be seen out on the basketball courts or at the poker tables with a large chip stack.

James D. Likens

Likens is the Morris B. and Gladys S. Pendleton Professor of Economics at Pomona College. He teaches courses in microeconomic theory, industrial organization and labor economics. He holds a B.A. in economics and a MBA in management from the University of California at Berkeley and took his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. He has extensive experience working for a number of major corporations and as a business consultant.
