Linda Hahn


Linda Hahn brings to SageGroup her expertise in business management and labor relations. Combining her extensive experience in Industrial Organization, Labor Economics, and Human Resources with her legal background, Ms. Hahn creates strategic solutions for clients in various industries. Currently, she leads a team focused on a major company in Broadlines Retailing and also serves on teams analyzing Transportation and Managed Care.

 

Jason Hathaway


Jason Hathaway has extensive experience in accounting, finance, and industrial organization. He has both buy- and sell-side experience, having interned as a technical equity analyst at Prudential Securities and as a financial advisory associate at Merrill Lynch. In the future, Mr. Hathaway plans to apply his knowledge of finance and corporate strategy to the field of investment banking; he will begin work as an analyst for Piper Jaffray & Co. in San Francisco in July. Currently, Mr. Hathaway heads the Firm’s Diversified Financial Services Group, and is an associate with the Gaming & Leisure and Transportation Groups.

 

William Hetfield


William Hetfield is currently SageGroup’s engagement manager for the gaming industry. His industry expertise includes property and casualty insurance and real estate development. Mr. Hetfield’s previous professional experience includes work at a leading hedge fund and portfolio management for the Pomona College endowment. His additional SageGroup responsibilities are the print media publishing and home entertainment teams.

 

Shimon Jacobs


Shimon Jacobs, 21, was born in Japan at a weight of ten and half pounds and his two front teeth already showing; it is no accident that he exhibits brilliance in managed health care consulting. Mr. Jacobs has experience in corporate finance, financial accounting, and econometrics in addition to possessing an expired license for accupuncture.

 

Lisa Kwak


Lisa Kwak joins SageGroup with an extremely diverse background and skill-set having interned in real estate finance and with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In the future, she will add investment banking to her skill set, as she is joining Bear Stearns in July. Ms. Kwak also has extensive experience in Labor Economics and Accounting. Ms. Kwak currently heads the firm’s Print Media and Publishing Group, but also has extensive knowledge of consumer products and health care.

 

Douglas Leavitt


Douglas Leavitt has an extensive background in economics and finance including Corporate Finance, Portfolio Theory, and Financial Accounting. Mr. Leavitt has worked for multiple years in the product distribution industry specializing in customer service. He also has managerial experience through providing leadership for teams of over 25 people. Currently, he is leading the beverages segment of SageGroup while also helping the gaming and leisure and enterprise software sectors of the firm.

 

Matthew Lubman


Matt Lubman is an experienced financial analyst who is the lead partner on SageGroup's Internet team. In addition to extensive coursework in accounting and finance, Mr. Lubman has spent three years working for renowned value manager John A. Levin and Company, specializing in healthcare, energy, metals and mining, and utilities. Mr. Lubman is also a portfolio manager for the Pomona College Investment Group, running a portion of the endownment that has significantly outperformed the S&P in 2005. He is considering career opportunities throughout the financial markets.

 

Michael Mandelbaum


Michael Mandelbaum was born and raised in the business metropolis of Des Moines, Iowa before he attended Pomona College where he received rigorous training in Economics, Computer Science, and East Asian Belly Dancing. Currently Mr. Mandelbaum serves as SageGroup’s retail banking specialist on the Diversified Financial Services Group, as he has extensive experience visiting the bank. Mr. Mandelbaum also has additional responsibilities as a supporting member to the Enterprise Software and Retail Clothing teams.

 

Andrew McKibben


Andrew McKibben has spent a number of years organizing and directing major marketing initiatives for some of the nation’s largest financial service organizations. He has extensive experience in contract negotiation as well as in the planning and management of large corporate events. Mr. McKibben is currently directing our work with Oracle and is a consulting partner for both Google and The Gap.

 

John Palys


John Palys, currently serving as managing consultant for SageGroup’s home entertainment team, brings with him a unique set of skills. In addition to training in industrial organization and game theory, Mr. Palys has years of experience in labor advocacy, having specialized in the emergency health care industry. He also has extensive legal experience with a diverse array of clients from the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Mr. Palys is also an associate with SageGroup’s broadline retail and beverage industry teams.

 

Ariana Schuster


With an extensive background in the travel and hospitality industries, Ariana Schuster heads SageGroup's transportation division. Ms. Schuster's previous experience in business management, research in economic issues of social consciousness, and professional wedding cake decoration make her a valuable asset to the SageGroup leadership team.

 

Brendan Springstubb


A successful private investor in the collectibles market, Brendan Springstubb brings an array of uncommon skills to SageGroup. Mr. Springstubb possesses expert knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and neuroeconomics, and has an extensive research background in regression analysis and obsolescence. Mr. Springstubb is our expert in the specialized retail industry, and also works with our financial services and retail/commercial banking divisions.

 

Management Guru James Likens


James D. Likens is the Morris B. and Gladys S. Pendleton Professor of Economics at Pomona College. He teaches courses in microeconomic theory, industrial organization and labor economics. He holds a B.A. in economics and an MBA in management from the University of California at Berkeley and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. He has extensive experience working for a number of major corporations and as a business consultant.
