Jung leads the biotechnology and drugs division at Bridges Consulting Group and also contributes to the money center bank and health care groups. Prior to working with Bridges, he has worked at Waddell & Reed and Harvest Learning Group. After graduating from Pomona College in May 2013 with degrees in Economics and Mathematics, he will be joining Opera Solutions as an analyst. Jung enjoys spending his free time playing lacrosse, snowboarding, watching sports, and cooking.
Brendan leads the auto division at Bridges Consulting Group and advises on the aviation and information technology/software teams. He is passionate about his work with the auto industry, having been to the LA Auto Show every year since he was in kindergarten and having recently attended the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. Brendan will graduate from Pomona College in May with a double major in Economics and French. In addition to his work with Bridges, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Sagehen Capital Management and sings in the Pomona College Choir. After graduation, Brendan will be joining Hall Capital Partners as an Analyst in the San Francisco office.
Daniel leads Bridges' Aviation division, and serves as an advisor in the fields of retail and biotechnology. From his work this past summer at Kabbage, Daniel brings valuable skills as a data analyst. He is majoring in Mathematical Economics at Pomona College, and when he graduates he will leave Bridges to return to Kabbage in Atlanta. In his spare time, Daniel plays ultimate frisbee, cooks, rock climbs, and dabbles in international dance.
Nicholas leads the media and entertainment division and is an advisor to the restaurant and network payments divisions. He spent this past summer in Hawaii, competing in the Hawaiian Collegiate Baseball League, while also interning in the sports media department on the University of Hawaii's campus. After graduating from Pomona College in May, Nick plans to travel overseas to play professional baseball. After that, he would like to work for a couple of years before pursuing an MBA. Nicholas is also an avid fan of all Los Angeles sports teams.
Phillip leads Bridges' energy division and is an adviser to its consumer division, specializing in retail home furnishings and apparel. Phillip is also the CEO of Sagehen Capital Management, an equity long-short hedge fund with over $1 million in assets under management. After earning his B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College, Phil will continue his consulting career at Bain & Company in Chicago. Prior to joining Bridges, Phil spent two summers at Google working in strategy and marketing and five years in the Marine Corps as an intelligence analyst and operator. Outside of work, Phil moonlights as an amateur gourmet chef, enjoys long runs with his dog, and is an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Leah leads Bridges' retail home furnishings division and also advises its energy and information technology divisions. After graduating Pomona College in May with a degree in Mathematical Economics, she will join the Congressional Budget Office in Washington D.C. Leah has also been a cellist with the Pomona College Orchestra for four years, and in her free time enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and swimming.
Mike heads up Bridges' technology division and advises its food services and pharmaceutical divisions. His career interests include entrepreneurship and product management. Prior to joining Bridges, Mike worked at Apps for Action, a tech startup that he founded with fellow Pomona students. He is majoring in Economics at Pomona College. At Pomona, Mike is a member of the varsity baseball team. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, food, and having philosophical debates.
Angel leads Bridges' private banking and wealth management division and provides support to the data processing and auto retailer teams. Prior to joining Bridges, he worked at MoM in Britain as part of the Wizengamot and had the opportunity to preside over several high profile hearings. Angel will graduate from Pomona College in May 2013 with a degree in Economics. After Pomona, Angel will join Whittier Trust as part of their wealth and trust management team. In his free time, Angel enjoys listening to jazz, playing music, good food, good beer (stouts are his favorite!), and spending time with his family.
Brian leads Bridges' payments division and also adds his expertise to the natural resource and aviation teams. Prior to joining Bridges, Brian worked in finance at Morgan Stanley and gained experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Abbott Laboratories. After graduating from Pomona College in May 2013 with a degree in economics and a minor in French, Brian will join Deloitte Consulting as an analyst. Outside of his work obligations, Brian is the president of the Claremont Colleges' ski team and enjoys working his goggle tan.
Jessica leads Bridges' fashion retail division and also contributes to the entertainment and banking groups. She has previously worked in Amazon's compensation and benefits departments and as a marketing analyst for a Seattle based tech startup. Jessica will graduate from Pomona in May, 2013 with degrees in Mathematics and Economics. Following graduation she will be joining West Monroe Partners' Seattle office as part of their consumer experience consulting team. In her free time Jessica enjoys travel, sports, volunteering, and visual design.
Ilan leads Bridges' health care division and advises its automotive and home furnishings retail divisions. During his time at Pomona College Ilan was involved with a variety of on campus jobs and founded a club emphasizing nutrition and fitness. Ilan will graduate Pomona College in May of 2013 with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Environmental Analysis, and will join The Connell Group, a market strategy consulting firm. In his spare time, Ilan enjoys weight lifting, following NY sports teams, as well as running global climate change models.
Carson leads Bridges' restaurant division, and collaborates with our natural resources and healthcare teams. He has worked in private business helping storefront-style shops grow brand recognition through increased social media, and has worked as a consultant for local government offices on grant proposals and program management. Carson will graduate from Pomona College in May with a degree in Economics. Following graduation, he will be joining Kabouter Management as an analyst for the firm's Latin American interests. Carson is an avid runner and swimmer (three-year member of the Pomona men's varsity swim team), and has a keen interest in drawing and architecture.
James Likens is the Morris B. and Gladys S. Pendleton Professor of Economics at Pomona College. He teaches courses in microeconomic theory, industrial organization and labor economics. He holds a B.A. in economics and a MBA in management from the University of California at Berkeley and took his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. He has extensive experience working for a number of major corporations and as a business consultant. For fun he plays golf, does research on his family history and follows the Dodgers.
